We create products designed around mental health positivity and self-care to not only encourage conversations, but hopefully break the silence and stigma that surrounds Mental Illness. Many of our designs are just for getting comfy at home when your battling alone in the dark, but we hope you will feel comfortable wearing our products out and about.
Our designs are not about telling every stranger on the street that you struggle with a mental illness
We want to bring a community together around the issue of mental health, something that is so important as at the end of the day, one in four might suffer with a mental illness, but every person on the plant has mental health. That is why we design our clothing to be worn by everyone, not just a subset of a small community.
We are not here to create a cute tee for a trend that lasts for 5 minutes. It’s not only distasteful about a serious subject like Mental Illness, but we hate trends and fast fashion which is why we chose to use print on demand to reduce waste and have our products ship from fulfilments centres around the world that are as close to our customers as possible. We have products ranging from clean simple patterns and illustrations to subtle self-care quotes for those who don’t want something too on the nose, to designs that clearly promote mental health with some home truths. About Us
Whatlabel was one of the first Mental Health Clothing and accessories brands in the UK created by one man who understands the reality of living with severe mental illness and the stigma and the labels that come attached. Having Autism and struggling with a physical disabilities from a young age has given Sonny our Founder and CEO a unique perspective, he wants to use Whatlabel as an outlet for his own frustrations, but also to create products that he wished he had during his many dark patches.
